Sort by column

Default sort is by pattern name. To sort on any column, click the arrow next to the column name. Click again to reverse the sort order. For multi-column sorting, hold down the Shift key and click on another column's sort arrow.

Search or narrow your results

To limit results to designs for ladies, men, children, unisex, pets, or home, choose from the drop-down list in the "For" column.

 

Type text into the "Search all columns" box to get only pattern rows containing that text.

 

Typing text into the boxes at the top of each column returns only patterns containing the search text in that column. Searching in the "Name" column or the "Search all columns" box will find the search text in the hidden Design Notes window. Searching in the "Yarn" column will find the search text in the hidden Fiber window.

To start over, clear all your search terms by clicking "Clear search boxes" at the top left of the index table.

Category guides

FOR: Choose ladies, men, children, unisex, home, pets, or all. Unisex patterns will not appear if you choose "ladies" or "men."

Patterns labeled "unisex" are either specifically designed to be unisex, or are designed for women but lack feminine shaping or details, making them suitable for men as well. You will find many patterns originally designed for women labeled "unisex."

Patterns labeled "men" are designed and sized specifically for men. Knitters looking to knit for men should be sure to search unisex patterns as well.

Design notes: Detailed descriptions of design and construction. Searching in the Name column or "Search all columns" box finds text that occurs in the notes. You might search for a useful term that doesn't appear in the tag list like "raglan," "seamless," "collar," or "steek."

Sizing: Specific sizing as given in the pattern. Measurements are usually finished, blocked measurements in inches.

Gauge: Specific gauge as given in pattern. Unless otherwise noted, gauge refers to stitches/rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
