Bog Jacket (child's version)
Design Notes
Seamless garter-stitch jacket is cleverly constructed from a square of knitting. Contrast yarn is knitted in where underarms will be (as for EZ\'s thumb trick). You remove the contrast yarn to make a "cut," fold the sides to the center, and fold the top down to meet your cut and form sleeves. The only "seam" weaves these stitches together across the front yoke and down the sleeves. Options for longer sleeves, shoulder shaping, collar, i-cord borders, waist shaping, and afterthought pockets. Colorblock effect may be achieved by changing colors partway through the knitting. Matching adult\'s and baby\'s versions. 2 sizes, 24-28" finished chest 20 sts = 4" garter stitch, color

Elizabeth Zimmermann's Green Sweater (aka Green Sweater)
Design Notes
Seamless stockinette-stitch cropped cardigan, worked in the round with steeked front opening, neck and armholes. Feminine design with a seven-button front, deep square mitered neckline, and faced hems. Deep armholes give the sleeves a flattering dolman effect; double decreases down the sleeve tops and increases at the flared cuff create visual interest. The story of this recently-discovered sweater is told in the article "Channeling Elizabeth" in the Fall 2009 issue of Twist Collective. Originally knit in single-ply sportweight wool at a loose, drapey gauge; newer version knit in worsted-weight alpaca/wool. Available as a single pattern from Schoolhouse Press. 4 sizes, 38-50" finished chest 20 sts = 4"
